CAMPAIGN FATIGUE

| | Comments (2)
Are any of you as tired of politics as I am?  My husband and I watched every second of Friday night's debate, then listened to experts pick it apart.  We read more analysis in the newspaper Saturday morning, and heard more analysis when we turned on the news Saturday night.  But when it came to watching the Sunday morning news shows while I worked out on the elliptical, I drew the line.  I'm analysed out.

I mean, who are these analysts, anyway?  Why can't we just listen to the candidates and decide on our own which one to support?  Do we need to have every single word parsed?  Hey, there's a word -- parsed, as in analyzed in great detail -- that I wouldn't have known if it hadn't been for the upcoming election.  So something good has come from the endless coverage.

Don't get me wrong.  This election is crucial.  America is at a crossroads.  The candidate we elect will determine which way we go.

So I'll continue to watch the evening news, and I will certainly watch the three upcoming debates.  As for the analysis afterward?  I may just exercise my prerogative in a free country and turn off the TV.

I have never been more sick of the politics at this time...never...I am disillusioned...Glad someone agrees with me...

I agree with both of you and the state of the economy, I'm worried not just for myself but the Country! All of "this pointing fingers" makes me sick.
